Saving the planet.

It will come as a surprise to many people, cattle are an important part of saving the planet. If you listen to many environmentalist cattle are at the heart of environmental degradation. As is so often the case in our world today nothing could be further from the truth. 

Jim Gerrish, who was at the university of Missouri for many years in the Ag department has spoken to this truth many times. Little is better for overused farm ground than being exposed to cattle for a few years. 

There are some things we need to get better at, such as rotational grazing and stocking rates. The opportunity, however, to use cattle in restoring the land that feeds us is enormous. 

Support your local rancher/farmer and encourage policy that encourages good Ranching practices.
