Growing grass for the cattle.

We have been getting rain in SE Oklahoma. It has been terrible here in Canadian County west of OKC. Very little rain since mid summer last year. We did get a strong 6 tenths last evening. There is a danger that we will have to start selling cattle due to the ongoing drought. So we were very happy with the rain last evening and are praying for additional rain soon. 

We have many little calves running around. It is weird but we have a lot more calves here at home in Canadian county than down in Atoka county even though the bulls were introduced on the same date or very close. Hopefully the cows down south will get it in gear and  catch up with the cows here at home  

We have one Hereford bull and he is always taken to Stringtown. The pic is of one of his calves.
