Foreign Beef

According to Dr. Brooke Miller, president of the U. S. Cattleman’s association, beef born and raised in Mexico and Canada is labeled as U. S. beef as long as it is packaged in the U. S.

This practice unfortunately has a negative impact on the price, and therefore the financial well being of American ranchers. Being dependent on foreign nations for something as important as food is a national security concern. Just look at Europe and it’s dependents on Russian oil and gas.

Our U. S. born and raised beef should be labeled so consumers can be aware of what they are purchasing. Currently the only way to be sure you are consuming U. S. beef is to buy it from a local farmer/rancher.
