Beef Sales

PRODUCTS WE LOVE

We seek to create sustainable ecological conditions in our beef operation. As we achieve this, our pastures are capturing carbon and soaking up rain rather than having excessive run-off. This benefits us, our cattle, the land we control, and our community. We are very proud to offer butchered beef produced right here on our ranch. These animals have been on grass or other types of forage for 100 percent of their lives. The last 90 days, grain is added as a supplement to increase marbling for enhanced flavor and tenderness. Happy animals produce tender tasty meat.

When you buy our products, you are participating in an effort to soak up carbon, capture rainfall, and use photosynthesis to produce one of the healthiest foods available. Beef is an excellent source of protein and supplies 10 essential nutrients including B-Vitamins, Zinc, and Iron. Beef supports an active, healthy lifestyle.

A HEALTHY FUTURE

We are very proud to be a part of the solution to a healthy future and believe cattle are a bright part of that future. Dr. Jim Garrish, professor emeritus from the University of Missouri, along with many other individuals are saying that cattle are the best medicine for farm ground that has been continuously farmed in a single crop. In fact, we are seeing a lot of crop farmers plant cover crops and run cattle after their primary crop is harvested. Since the beef industry in the United States produces only two percent of greenhouse emissions (U.S. EPA inventory of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions), it is easy to see that cattle are very important in the healing of land that has been over-used through continuous single-cropping.

We are proud to offer beef fed and finished right here on our ranch. There is an argument today about weather grass fed or corn fed is the best way to go. We have run our own butcher calves on forage and then addled a little grain toward the end for years. Our neighbors and friends who share this beef from time to time have always given us great feedback on how good it is. Does it really have to be one way or the other? We think not! There are some great benefits to grass finished beef. There are some great benefits to grain finished beef. We like to combine the two for the best of both worlds. After all, corn has been a significant part human development for over 5,000 years.
